At the confluence of the Mississippi and Rush Rivers is Maiden Rock, where Lake Pepin sunsets are picture postcard-perfect. The village of 149 Maiden Rock takes its name from the tale of an Indian princess who leapt from the 400-foot bluff rather than marry a man she did not love.
Maiden Rock offers a lakeside campground and picnic area, as well as bed-and-breakfast facilities.
